On May 19–20, 2025, YAF Doctoral Candidates participated in the workshop “Fermentation Technology for Production of High-Value Chemicals from Residues by Non-Conventional Yeast”, hosted by YAF partner Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in Kongens Lyngby.
- The two-day training combined theory and hands-on experience, covering:
- Fermentation fundamentals and media composition
- Bioreactor parts, assembly, and tower setup
- Lab sessions at DTU’s Fermentation Core, including bioreactor calibration, tank inoculation, sampling, and data analysis

The workshop provided valuable skills and insights into sustainable fermentation processes using non-conventional yeast.
