Tomás Zubak (DC1) participated last week in the Young Researchers Workshop of IMDEA Energy.
He presented the poster ‘Microbial Oil Production from High Salinity Waste Streams’. He has shown that Yarrowia lipolytica yeast thrives in both synthetic and real high-salinity media such as ham exudate, underscoring the potential of these feedstocks as cost-effective and sustainable substrates for lipid bioproduction.
