The intensive training course provided participants with valuable insights and hands-on experience to refine their academic writing skills. Throughout the sessions, PhD students engaged in:

  1. Reverse engineering techniques to accelerate and improve writing for publication.
  2. Individual and group activities analyzing effective STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine) texts, focusing on introduction sections.
  3. Exploration of STEMM language by examining results and discussion sections for clarity and effectiveness.
  4. Practical exercises on abstract writing.
  5. One-on-one consultations with a Centre for Academic English (CfAE) coach for personalized guidance.

By the end of the training, participants gained a deeper understanding of academic writing strategies, equipping them with the tools to enhance their research publications.
